I setup this service as the bloody retards don't really know how to sail the sloppy seas like real pirates and end up acquiring things in different languages, viruses and malware and other things, if it can go wrong it has gone wrong for them. My family and friends use this now with their own profiles on Nefarious and Jellyfin to get their films and series and watch it, my dad actually unsubscribed from Netflix. I use a self hosted service called Nefarious which is like Sonarr/Radarr for series and films and has the ability to pull series episodes as they are uploaded to Nefarious sites which I have told Jackett to look at.
NEWSHOSTING VPN PLEX SOFTWARE
The server used tunneling software to exit from that node, to a server in our country that is connected to one of my sub domains that points to it, it's pretty bloody fast to access, loads almost as fast as a cached site. The Nano is hooked up at my sister's house to an unmetered 200MBps up/down fibre connection.

This server is hooked up to an 8TB G-Raid drive. So to piggy back on this as I have used both Plex and Jellyfin, and I really wanted to like Plex, but the $8 or so for Plex Pass to unlock Premium features did not sit well with me, might as well sub to a streaming service.Īnyway, I have a Nvidia Jetson Nano that I use as a server specifically for its ability to use the Tegra based GPU to do transcoding of almost anything, into almost anything, and because it's tiny. I'm just tech literate enough to know how to set things up, but not so literate enough to where it won't massively fuck it up even worse soon after. Does this seem correct? Wanna make sure it was that button that did that, and not me messing up anything else.Īnyways, appreciate all of the helpful comments here. Now, on sonarr, I did click "update all" on the series page, and I think it may have tried to download all the shows at once.
NEWSHOSTING VPN PLEX MANUAL
Think it'd be difficult to switch everything over to another laptop and still use the same USB stick? Just scared of frying my computer (Surface Pro 7) because it'll have to always be on if I want to be able to stream when I'm awake (perhaps 24/7, if I save my manual downloads for nighttime). Honestly, was hard enough for me to figure this out. Tried to download traktarr to automatically download some of the top/new stuff, but don't think it'll work right, given my lack of knowledge on these types of things, until I put it all on my Ubuntu laptop and run all the sudo commands. Not sure if the torrent is even being used, lol. Now, I did make all the files go to an external drive (a USB), so perhaps there could be an easy way to transfer everything to my Ubuntu laptop?įWIW, and there may be some overlap here, I'm using Plex, uBittorrent, NewsHosting, NZBFinder, NZBGet, Radarr, and Sonarr. Set it up on my daily laptop, which may have been a bad idea in hindsight, but we'll see how it goes. Hey, thanks for the info! I decided to just say fuck it and go for it.
